This vinyl decal is designed to fit over the recessed surface of the existing factory R/T emblem on the grille. The factory paint color is inconsistent on each emblem and will lift up along the inside edge of the emblem. This is why you'll see the factory red around the edge of the decal. This is most noticeable when the emblem is off the vehicle or when you're level with it. The factory emblem is very small, which means the decal will also be small. Be steady and patient when applying.
